Pound Climbs Ahead Of UK CPI, PPI

(RTTNews) - The UK consumer and producer prices for September and house price data for August are due at 4:30 am ET Tuesday. Inflation is forecast to rise slightly to 3 percent in September from 2.9 percent in August.
Ahead of these data, the pound advanced against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 148.97 against the yen, 1.2974 against the franc, 0.8862 against the euro and 1.3284 against the greenback as of 4:25 am ET.
