Tereos Forms New $2.5 Billion Sugarcane Giant From Guarani, Tereos Assets

31/03/10 - In Brazil, France´s Tereos group announced that it will establish a new spin-off company, Tereos International, combining the assets of the Tereos investment in Brazil´s Guarani, Tereos grain operations in Europe, and sugarcane operations in the Indian Ocean. The new Sao Paulo-based company will have annual revenues of US$ 2.5 billion and will be listed in the New São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), as well as in the NYSE Euronext.

The new company will be the third-largest sugarcane processor in the world, and will have $366 million in EBITDA based on the performance of the units at this time.
