What’s new in gas cooktops
GE’s gas cooktops feature the style, flexibility and control today’s
consumers demand, making their time in the kitchen easier and more
enjoyable.

Performance features include a Tri-ring burner with a unique
two-in-one design for 18,000 BTU boiling or gentle 140°F simmering for
delicate foods and sauces.

Ease of use due to continuous grates that allow for easy
movement of pans between burners and upfront controls on the 36-inch
models, providing access at the center of the cooktop—no more reaching
over hot pots and burners.

Cleanability with a deep recessed cooktop and sealed cooktop
burners that help contain spills and make cleaning easy.
Dishwasher-safe grates and die-cast knobs deliver worry-free and
effortless cleaning and maintenance, so the chef of the home can spend
time with family, instead of laboring over cleanup.

Enhanced style is found in the heavy-duty die-cast knobs in
brushed chrome with new LED backlights.

GE-exclusive Control Lock capability, designed with a
multi-generational household in mind, allows you to shut off gas to
prevent activation by a young child or aging parents.
Consumer-friendly electric cooktops
GE’s radiant electric cooktops deliver the key qualities households look
for when choosing a cooktop:

Performance features include 12-inch, dual- and Tri-ring
elements, creating multiple cooking areas in one and accommodating
various-sized pots or pans; ribbon heating elements—consistent heat
and glass surface providing fast, even heating; and PowerBoil™ 20,000
BTU burner delivering rapid heat for rapid boiling.

Flexibility, from a gentle simmer optimized for melting
chocolate and making delicate sauces, to 19,000 BTUs for a power boil.

Engaging style, with a full stainless steel frame, curved front
edge and heavy-duty knobs, make the cooktops both functional and a
conversation piece.

Complete control, with Control Lock and electronic controls
that deliver accurate temperature and ensure even heating and less
temperature variation.

GE Café™ turns everyday cooking into cuisine
GE Café cooktops, launched in September, feature a restaurant-style
appearance and deliver multiple capabilities and ease of use a
professional chef demands – and today’s consumer wants. GE Café’s
Tri-ring burner goes from 140°F simmer to 20,000 BTU power boil.
GE cooktops feature appearance upgrades
Along with reliability and performance, the fit, feel and finish of the
cooktop is key among consumers. How will it look in their kitchen? With
that in mind, GE designed its updated cooktops with wrapped edges,
heavy-weight die-cast knobs with LED backlights and visually appealing
grates, such as the new GE Profile rainbow grate that gives a unique,
upgraded appearance to cooktops.
Pricing and availability
The estimated retail price range is $849 - $1,949 for electric and $749
- $1,899 for gas cooktops,* depending on the model. For more information
