SAO PAULO--Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao (CBD, PCAR4.BR), Brazil's largest retailer in terms of revenue, posted an increase in net sales in the fourth-quarter and in 2014 following sales growth in its nonfood businesses.

The company, controlled by French retail group Casino Guichard-Perrachon SA (CGUSY, CO.FR), said late Tuesday that its net revenue totaled 19.66 billion reais ($7.42 billion), up 16.2% from the year-earlier period.

For full-year 2014, CBD's net sales totaled BRL65.5 billion, up 13.3% from 2013.
