Koninklijke Philips N.V. (PHIA.AE) said Tuesday it has appointed Andy Ho chief executive for Greater China from Nov. 2, replacing Patrick Kung who will retire on Dec. 31 after nearly seven years in the role.

To ensure a seamless transition, Mr. Ho will join Philips on Aug. 3, as executive vice president, the diversified health and well-being company said. He joins Philips from IBM Corp., where he has held a wide range of sales, technology and senior management roles across Greater China, Canada and the U.S. in a career spanning over 30 years.
