worldwide is very fortunate to have these highly experienced industry
leaders volunteer to serve on our board of directors during this period
of serious global energy challenges,” said
Robert P. Thornton, president of IDEA. “Their
service will be instrumental to our organization’s
continuing growth and success as we launch IDEA into its second century
of service to the district energy industry.”
District energy is an efficient, environmentally responsible method of
heating and cooling buildings. District energy systems produce steam,
hot water or chilled water at a central plant. The steam or water is
then piped underground to individual buildings within a designated area
for heating, cooling or use in industrial processes.
