Pound Falls Ahead Of U.K. Public Finance Data

(RTTNews) - At 4.30 am ET Tuesday, the Office for National Statistics is set to publish UK public finance figures for December. The budget deficit is forecast to narrow to GBP 4.3 billion from GBP 8.1 billion in November.
Ahead of the data, the pound dropped against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 1.3949 against the greenback, 154.45 against the yen, 1.3421 against the franc and 0.8770 against the euro as of 4:25 am ET.
