Siemens AG (SIE.XE) said Tuesday that it will modernize a cogeneration plant at Braskem SA's (BRKM5.BR) Sao Paulo petrochemical complex.

The German engineering group said it will overhaul the existing plant, which provides steam and power to the complex's steam-cracker unit, and operate it for 15 years.

Siemens said it expects to complete the project in early 2021.
