--Customers of AT&T Inc.'s (T) U-verse TV and the DirecTV streaming service were told that rights to provide the NFL Network have expired, the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday.

--NFL Network is still available on DirecTV's satellite service, according to the report.

--AT&T said in a note on its website that "as we continue to manage content costs, we could not reach an agreement with the NFL," the report said. An NFL Network spokesman told the Tribune that "we never heard a word from them" before NFL Network was removed from AT&T U-verse and DirecTV now.
