Pernod Ricard SA (RI.FR) said it targets full-year organic growth in profit from recurring operations at the top of its target range after third-quarter net sales rose.

Sales for the period were 2 billion euros ($2.26 billion), including 2.5% organic growth and 4.5% reported growth, the company said Thursday.

The maker of Absolut vodka and Jameson whiskey now expects organic growth in profit from recurring operations of about 8%, at the top end of its previously stated range of between 6% and 8%.

"Growth was very strong and diversified in the first nine months of FY 2019, responding to our long-term investment strategy," Chief Executive Alexandre Ricard said.

"For full-year FY 2019, in an environment that remains uncertain, we aim to continue dynamic and diversified growth across our regions and brands."
