--Environmental group Greenpeace said protests on Friday blocked workers at several French companies with ties to the oil and gas industries, Reuters reports.

--The group targeted the headquarters of Societe Generale SA (SCGLY), Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) and Total SA (TOT), the report said.

--Greenpeace said the protesters prevented thousands of employees from entering the buildings, seeking to draw attention to the issue of climate change, according to the report.
