--The U.S. Justice Department is seeking documents and other information related to transmissions used in Ford Motor Co.'s (F) Fiesta and Focus vehicles, The Detroit Free Press reports Wednesday.

--A subpoena issued in April seeks "all documents, communications and electronically stored information" pertaining to Ford's DPS6 transmission as far back as 2010, the report said.

--A Ford spokesman declined to say if the company received a subpoena, according to the report.

--In a prepared statement, the spokesman said, "Ford routinely cooperates with all federal, state and local regulatory and other authorities and, as has long been a matter of public record, has in particular cooperated with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as to DPS6-related issues beginning in 2014," according to the report.
