BAE Systems Wins Intelligence-Analysis Support Contract Worth Over $17 Billion

BAE Systems Inc. said it has been awarded a more than $17
billion contract by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the external
intelligence arm of the U.S. Department of Defense, to provide
multiple intelligence-support functions and related services for
the agency.
The Arlington, Va., company will have a prime-contractor role
for the agency's Solutions for Intelligence Analysis 3 (SIA 3), a
services contract for intelligence-analytical support, for up to 10
years. The company has also worked on the agency's prior services
contract, SIA 2.
The U.S. subsidiary of the British company, BAE Systems PLC,
(BA.LN, BAESY) is one of the largest analytic-services providers
for the DIA, providing intelligence support and services for over
three decades.
