Enel SpA said Thursday that it has drawn up an insurance policy that will cover its more than 69,000 employees in case they are diagnosed with the coronavirus and need to be hospitalized.

The Italian energy company said the insurance tool, developed with insurance and risk-management company Aon PLC, will guarantee a cash allowance for all employees that are hospitalized or undergo intensive care for Covid-19.

The policy will also guarantee additional benefits beyond what its employees currently have access to, Enel said.
