Correction to June 13 Article on American Express Card Network in China

Dow Jones News
China's commercial banks had more than 749 million credit cards
in circulation as of March, up 77% from five years ago, according
to data from Wind. "American Express Gets Nod to Start Operating
Card Network in China" published June 13 at 3:08 ET incorrectly
said there were 8.5 billion credit cards. That number is the total
for bank cards.
