EasyJet PLC said on Tuesday that it has agreed to defer the
delivery of 22 Airbus aircraft.
Deliveries of Airbus planes will be deferred from fiscal years
2022 to 2024 to fiscal 2027 and 2028.
In addition, the low-cost airline said that it will take no
aircraft deliveries in fiscal 2021 and that it retains the option
to increase its deliveries in fiscal 2023 to 30 aircraft.
"In this period of uncertainty, this flexibility is even more
valuable, as it will enable us to quickly flex our fleet size in
response to customer demand," Chief Executive Johan Lundgren
said.
