Johnson & Johnson said it remains committed to supplying 200
million doses of its Covid-19 vaccine to the European Union, Norway
and Iceland.
Earlier Tuesday, the European Medicines Agency called for a
warning about very rare blood clots but said the benefits of the
vaccine outweigh the risks.
J&J said it will update the Summary of Product
Characteristics and Package Leaflet. "Healthcare professionals will
be alerted to the signs and symptoms of thromboembolism with
thrombocytopenia, as well as the appropriate course of treatment,"
the company said.
