The U.K. on Tuesday sold 10 billion-pound ($13.66 billion) worth of its inaugural 0.875% July 2033 green gilt via a syndicate of banks, according to a bank involved in the deal.

The issue was priced 7.5 basis points above the yield on the reference gilt, the 4.25% June 2032 bond, implying a price of 100.033 and a yield of 0.8721%, it said. Demand was in excess of GBP100 billion, including joint lead manager interest, at final terms, the bank said.

Joint bookrunners of the issue were Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citi, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, J.P. Morgan.
