EBay Shares Tumble as Company Sees Weaker-Than-Expected 4Q Sales

EBay Inc.'s shares fell 5.6 % in after-hours trading to $73.35
after the company gave a lower-than-expected sales forecast for the
fourth quarter.
The online marketplace expects quarterly revenue around $2.57
billion to $2.62 billion, lower than the $2.65 billion a consensus
of analysts' projected, according to FactSet. The company reported
$2.87 billion in revenue in last year's fourth quarter.
The company also anticipates reported earnings of 72 cents to 76
cents a share for the current quarter, or 97 cents to $1.01 a share
on an adjusted basis.
