Shell Acquires Solar-Development Company in Italy

Royal Dutch Shell PLC said Wednesday that it has acquired a
developer of solar-power-generation projects in Italy.
The oil-and-gas company has acquired solar-konzept Italia Srl, a
subsidiary of Germany's solar-konzept International GmbH. The deal
increases Shell's solar-development pipeline in Italy to around 2
gigawatts, it said.
Shell said that the acquisition makes it one of the leading
solar developers in the Mediterranean country.
