Compass Group PLC said Thursday that all resolutions passed at
its annual general meeting, though a resolution to receive and
adopt the remuneration policy had low shareholder support.
The U.K. catering contractor said that resolution two received
support from 67.5% of shareholders at the meeting.
The company said it acknowledged some shareholders didn't vote
in favor of the resolution, and that it had consulted extensively
with its largest shareholders, investor representative groups and
proxy agencies in developing the remuneration policy.
It said it continued to believe the new policy was balanced and
fully aligned to the interests of the company and its shareholders,
and as such the policy will be implemented and take effect for
three years.
However, the company added that it remains committed to an open
and transparent dialogue with shareholders and will engage with
them further to understand their concerns.
