--European plane maker Airbus SE delivered almost 13% more planes in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Airbus delivered between 140 and 142 planes in the quarter, implying about 62 deliveries in March, according to Reuters.

--The company is trying to increase production of single-aisle planes, but supply-chain struggles could complicate its goal of increasing deliveries to 65 a month by next summer.
