Shares of Honest Co. jumped in premarket trading Tuesday after the clean products company said its wares will now be available from retail giant Walmart Inc.

Los Angeles-based Honest, which offers plant-derived diapers and eco-conscious consumer products, said its brand is now available on Walmart.com and will launch in thousands of Walmart stores in the fall.

Honest, which in May reported first-quarter results that fell just shy of Wall Street estimates as consumers shifted to in-store shopping, said it expects widespread distribution at Walmart will help it expand its accessibility to current and new consumers.

Honest shares, which closed Monday at $3.22, were recently up 8.1% to $3.48 in premarket trading.
