Volkswagen AG's software unit Cariad SE said Friday that it has appointed Oliver Blume as chairman of its supervisory board, handing him a new role on top of his positions as chief executive of both Porsche AG and the entire Volkswagen group.

The German car maker's software unit also said it had appointed Michael Steiner and Thomas Ulbrich as new members of its supervisory board to replace Herbert Diess and Arno Antlitz, who left the board at the end of August.
