Apple Inc. is providing app developers 700 new price points and
new pricing tools as part of the biggest upgrade yet to its app
store pricing capabilities.
The tech company said Tuesday that following the update to its
app store's pricing system, developers will have 900 price points
to choose from, including 600 new price points and another 100
higher price points that will be available upon request.
The price points will range from as low as 29 cents to, upon
request, up to $10,000, Apple said.
Developers will also now be able to more easily manage currency
and taxes across storefronts by choosing one local storefront that
will be used as a basis from which prices across the other 174
store fronts and 44 currencies will be automatically generated.
The rollout of the new tools will start on Tuesday and continue
through 2023.
