CVS Health Corp. has appointed a new head of pharmacy services as part of its recent executive changes.

The company said Monday that David Joyner will rejoin the company as an executive vice president and as the president of pharmacy services. He will succeed Alan Lotvin, who plans to retire in April.

Amy Bricker has also been appointed to the role of chief product officer -- consumer. She will also become an executive vice president.

Mr. Joyner will join the company on Jan. 30 to lead the pharmacy services segment, which provides solutions to employers, health plans and government businesses. The segment serves more than 110 million members through CVS Caremark, CVS Specialty and other areas, the company said.

He previously served as a CVS Health executive and has more than 34 years of health care and pharmacy benefit management experience, the company said.

Ms. Bricker will join the company in February with almost 20 years of health care experience, CVS Health said. She will focus on consumer products and innovation.
