Porsche AG said Thursday that it will produce a fully electric version of its Cayenne model at its plant in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The luxury sports car maker, in which Volkswagen SE holds a 75% stake, said the battery-electric version of its popular sport utility vehicle will arrive sometime after 2025. The Cayenne is Porsche's most in-demand model with 95,604 SUVs delivered last year, the company said.

Since 2017, Porsche has produced all Cayenne SUVs at the Bratislava plant, it said.
