Pernod Ricard said it would stop all operations in Russia, becoming the latest western company to announce a retreat from the country after it invaded Ukraine.

The French drinks group said Friday that it would cease distribution of its portfolio in Russia in the coming months, a step further after it stopped exports of its international brands to the country at the end of April.

"We are assessing how to adapt our local organisation in light of these decisions, while fully complying with all local legal regulations," the company said in a statement.
