--Meta Platforms is preparing to lay off employees of its metaverse-orientated Reality Labs unit on Wednesday, Reuters reports, citing people familiar with the matter.

--Meta's employees learned about the layoffs via the Facebook parent's internal forum Workplace on Tuesday and they will be informed about their employment status by early Wednesday, Reuters reports.
