NEW YORK, July 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Evercore Partners Inc. (NYSE: EVR) announced today that Mark H. Burton has agreed to join the firm's Advisory business as a Senior Managing Director. Mr. Burton, who will be based in New York, comes to Evercore from Barclays Capital, where he was most recently a Vice Chairman and a senior member of the Financial Institutions Group. Prior to the acquisition of the U.S. operations of Lehman Brothers, Mr. Burton was a Vice Chairman at Lehman, and was a member of the firm's Strategic Committee, Senior Client Council and Business Development Committee. At Evercore, as with Barclays and with Lehman, Mr. Burton will provide senior-level counsel to the world's leading financial institutions.
