Cowen analyst Gary Taylor says that as expected, the expiration of pandemic leniency drove an anticipated decline of 2024 2024 Medicare Advantage stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Centene (CNC) and CVS Health (CVS) were "outliers" and fared much worse than the average, Taylor tells investors in a research note. He expects Medicare Advantage enrollment will "slow materially" for both in 2024 if they choose to reduce benefits to protect margins. Shares of Centene are down 5% to $76.25 in morning trading while CVS is down 8% to $90.95.
