              TRAFFICMASTER'S SMARTNAV SELECTED BY CHRYSLER & JEEP
                   AS AN APPROVED SATELLITE NAVIGATION OPTION


Trafficmaster plc announces that Chrysler & Jeep, part of DaimlerChrysler, will
be offering Smartnav, Trafficmaster's dynamic navigation system, as an approved
accessory in the UK on its Voyager, Grand Voyager, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and
PT Cruiser models.


With effect from 4 July 2003, Chrysler & Jeep customers will be able to benefit
from Smartnav, possibly the world's most advanced satellite navigation system
that incorporates Trafficmaster's unique live, incident, historic and predictive
traffic data to calculate routes and guide drivers around traffic delays.


Chrysler & Jeep is one of the leading players in the fast growing 4x4 and sports
utility vehicle (SUV) market and has increased sales by 16% in the first quarter
of 2003.     Chrysler & Jeep anticipates that Smartnav will be an important
accessory to support the continuing growth in new car sales.


The deal with Chrysler & Jeep follows the announcement of 19 May that Peugeot is
making Smartnav available through its network of dealerships in the UK.
Smartnav is also being marketed by Hyundai in the UK, and other such
manufacturer accessory deals are expected to be announced during the course of
the year.
