Completion of sale of Turkish licence


Final payment of US$ 480,000 has been received, on the total US$ 600,000 sale of
the licence for Bartercard in Turkey. The majority shareholder of the new
Turkish licence is Mr. Mose Elis, founder and owner of Endotec, formed in 1991
and one of Turkey's major medical supply companies, Mr. Elis will take on the
role of CEO of Bartercard Turkey, leaving his other company in management hands.
Training for the foundation management team for this new licence commences on
Feb 7th in Australia with operational commencement in Turkey expected in early
April.

Wayne Sharpe, Chairman of Bartercard, commented:

licences already operating nearby in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Cyprus, Qatar,
Kuwait and the UAE, the region is poised for continued development and 
expansion"

Bartercard took over the UAE licence late last year, which now is a wholly owned
subsidiary of the company.
