New Managing Director of Bartercard UK caps record month


The board of Bartercard is delighted to announce the appointment of Geoff Searle
as Managing Director of Bartercard UK. Geoff comes to Bartercard with a wealth
of knowledge and extensive background in sales and marketing and has held a
diverse range of positions including Vice President of Global Marketing for the
Russian company, Kaspersky Lab, where he launched the company into the US
market. Prior to that, Geoff was the European Sales and Marketing Director for
Metro Media Technologies Inc, and New Business Development Director at Enigma
Design.

Commenting on the appointment, Wayne Sharpe, Executive Chairman, said:

"Our UK operations are expanding rapidly, with record numbers of companies
signing as new Members in 2006. Geoff's diverse skills and experience make him
ideally placed to continue Bartercard's aggressive expansion in the UK. Our
monthly Trade record was smashed in May for the second time this year, with
almost #5 million in Trade volume, which is an increase of 62% since January.
Bartercard in the UK is set for an exciting second half of 2006 with Geoff at
the helm."
