Appointment of new Senior Independent Director

The Board of Spectris plc ('Spectris') (LSE: SXS), the expert in providing insight through precision measurement, is pleased to announce that Cathy Turner has today been appointed as Senior Independent Director as part of a planned succession process. Cathy takes over from Bill Seeger as Bill nears the end of his nine year tenure on the Board. Bill will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director, Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee and as a member of the Nomination and Governance Committee.

Cathy has been a Non-Executive Director of Spectris since September 2019 and is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Nomination and Governance Committee.
