                 BEA - Bergesen sells Kvaerner shares

Notice in respect of sale of shares and rights in Kvaerner ASA, ref. Norwegian
Securities Trading Act 3-2.

1.   Bergesen d.y. ASA has today sold all shares and rights in Kvaerner ASA     
    with normal settlement for the rights on the 17/7/2000 and with later       
   settlement for the A and B shares on the 12/10/2000.
2.   Number of shares sold:
     A-shares: 9.405.133
     B-shares:   287.772
     Number of rights sold:
     re A-shares: 4.826.363
     re B-shares:   147.674
3.   Seller is Bergesen d.y. ASA.
4.   Bergesen has no further shares or rights in Kvaerner ASA after the sale.
