Relevant shareholders of Credit Andorra agree to purchase the 46,35% stake owned
by "La Caixa"



Andorra la Vella, 15th September 2006.- "La Caixa", Caixa d'Estalvis i Pensions
de Barcelona, has reached an agreement to sell their 46,35% stake in Credit
Andorra for the amount of 927 million Euros.


The sale will be carried out in two stages: the first sale of 26,36%, will take
place before the year end. The second of 19,99%, will take place before end
March 2007.


Credit Andorra came to an agreement with "La Caixa" to acquire 100% of CaixaBank
last July 2005. With this new financial operation, 100% of the capital now
remains in the hands of Andorran shareholders.


The disinvestment of "La Caixa" will not affect the privileged relationship that
both institutions have built together in the past.
