AGM statement

23 April 2007

Gibbs & Dandy plc, one of the UK's largest independent builders' merchants, held 
its AGM today.

Chairman Christopher Roshier made the following comment:

"Sales per trading day for the period 2 January to 20 April 2007 show an
increase of 3.6% compared with last year.


After a satisfactory January but slow February, the latter due to inclement
weather, March and April to date have shown a good improvement over 2006.


The Board remains confident about the prospects for the company as a growing
regional independent builder's merchant providing excellent service to its
customers."
