               Secure Design Sells Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB


Secure Design, a leading biometrics company based in Tokyo, Japan today
announced that it has sold 289,800 shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ("Fingerprint
Cards") for a total consideration of Y144.8million (#0.63 million). This has
generated a profit of Y45.7 million (#0.20 million), following the Company's
purchase of 300,000 shares which was announced on 30 August 2006.


Secure Design originally purchased the shares in Fingerprint Cards following its
appointment as the official exclusive Japanese distributor of Fingerprint Cards'
products in December 2005. During the last year Secure Design had been enhancing
the business and technology relationship with Fingerprint Cards and had been in
discussions regarding a business alliance, which led to the purchase of the
300,000 shares in August. However these discussions have since been terminated.
As such the board of Secure Design agreed that they no longer wished to pursue
the alliance with Fingerprint Cards and therefore disposed of the shares.


Mr Taketoshi Kashiwabara, Chairman of Secure Design, is also a director of
Fingerprint Cards and, through his controlling interest in Technoimagia Sweden
AB, is a 24.5% shareholder in Fingerprint Cards. The directors of Secure Design
with the exception of Mr Kashiwabara, having consulted with Charles Stanley
Securities, the Company's Nominated Adviser, consider the terms of the
transaction to be fair and reasonable in so far as the Company's shareholders
are concerned.
