announcement released yesterday 09 January 2008 at 07:14 under
RNS No 3778L.

The date at the beginning of the announcement should have read 9 January 2008 
and not 9 December 2008. 

All other details remain unchanged.

                               Trading Statement                                

Secure Design KK ("Secure Design" or the "Company"), the Japanese developer of
biometric fingerprint authentication technology, announces that due to very poor
trading over the second half of the year, revenue for the financial year to 31
December 2007 will be significantly behind revenues for the same period in the
prior year. Furthermore the operating profit figure will also be significantly
reduced as a result of the realisation of a bad debt which accounted for
approximately half the turnover for the first half of the financial year.

The period of poor trading has been largely due to the effect of a recent
reduction in the sales team including the retirement of two senior members of
the team. The Company is seeking to strengthen the Company's sales function as a
matter of urgency.

The Directors of Secure Design will update the market shortly with details of
their short term cash facilities and funding options going forward. Furthermore
the Company will issue the preliminary results in March 2008 when they will be
updating the market on the progress in strengthening its sales operation and the
marketing plans for the year ahead.
