ANDOVER, Mass., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO) today announced Jim Koshar has been named Business Unit Director of Civilian Programs in the Federal Solutions Group. Koshar will be responsible for supporting civilian agencies such as the Federal Insurance Corporation, United States Postal Service, National Archives and Records Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Justice. "With 25 years of project management experience in the federal civilian market, Jim has a proven track record of being an exceptional leader which makes him an ideal candidate for this position," said Rich Vlaun, Vice President and General Manager, Homeland Security Programs, DRC's Federal Solutions Group. "He brings a level of experience, industry knowledge and technical expertise that will help strengthen DRC's federal business as we continue delivering innovation solutions to new and current customers." Most recently, Koshar was a Senior Project Manager at Perot Systems Government Services, where he was in charge of all information technology and associate development phases of a large IT Support Services contract. Prior to his time at Perot Systems, he was a Maritime Transportation Manager at Potomac Management Group and also a Program Manager/Maritime Specialist at Q Systems. In addition, Koshar served almost 25 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and completed his service as a Command Duty Officer at U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Koshar holds a master of science degree in human resources management from La Roche College and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Chaminade University. He is currently attending the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professionals (PMP) training at George Mason University and is working toward receiving his PMP designation.
