Company Continues Successful Work on Joint Event Scheduling System ANDOVER, Mass., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO) today announced that it has been awarded a three- year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract by the U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) to continue enhancement and support work on the Joint Event Scheduling System (JESS). The new contract is for a base year, which includes $1.4 million of initial task awards, plus two option years, with a ceiling of $8.3 million. "DRC's experience with the JESS program and knowledge of the subject area is helping USJFCOM centralize and streamline its work to fight the Global War on Terror. JESS provides the systems capability needed to efficiently organize the joint forces and helps answer the Defense Department's call for a more integrated and effective military." The contract enables DRC to continue providing software enhancements to the web-based JESS application, life cycle maintenance, help desk support, documentation and training. The JESS application was developed to support USJFCOM's mission as the primary Joint Force Provider for all conventional forces. JESS provides automated event management, force management, scheduling and deconfliction of joint events such as operations, exercises, experiments and Service redline activities. DRC began development work for USJFCOM on JESS in September 2002. DRC also is providing JESS development services for the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), configuring the system to support its mission fighting the Global War on Terror.
