Establishes Follow-On Contract Platform for Electronic Systems Center's ITSP II Transition ANDOVER, Mass., May 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO) today announced that it is on the winning Quantech Services, Incorporated team for the U.S. Air Force's Electronic Systems Center (ESC) Professional Acquisition Support Services (PASS) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract which has a ceiling value of $800 million for the next five years. Quantech is one of eight small businesses awarded a contract by ESC to provide a wide range of non-technical acquisition support services, including support of research, development and production activities at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Mass. and other geographically separated units throughout the country. "DRC is honored to join Quantech for both the PASS and SCS wins at Hanscom AFB," said Robert L. Smith, senior vice president and general manager of DRC's Acquisition Management and Engineering Group. "These awards serve as the fundamental contract platforms for our continued support of ESC and will allow for uninterrupted delivery of our products and services to this vital Air Force customer." PASS is the second component of a three-part effort to replace the current vehicle used to provide Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) support, the $1.4 billion Information Technology Services Program (ITSP) II, which currently constitutes nearly 40 percent of the ESC workforce. ITSP II is set to expire June 30. The first component -- the four-year, $88 million Specialized Cost Services (SCS) -- was awarded in November 2006 to only two small businesses. DRC was also a member of the Quantech Services winning team for this contract. The final component, the $480 million, three-year Engineering and Technology Acquisition Support Services, known as ETASS, is expected to be awarded to a single contractor team by the end of May.
