ANDOVER, Mass., June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO) today announced that it received a $4.0 million task order under its Air Force's Design and Engineering Support Program (DESP II) prime contract. DRC has now been awarded seven tasks on the DESP II contract valued at $27.2 million and ranks first among the 13 large business prime contractors and third overall among all 20 large and small business DESP II primes. This effort, awarded through the Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, provides continued Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in support of the management, analysis and evaluation of performance metrics, parts availability data, production status, funds and forecast information, and technical order changes for the 84th SCSG/Space and C(3)I Systems Combat Sustainment Group, Ogden Air Logistics Center. The A&AS task, which has a one year basic period of performance with two one-year options, falls under the company's previously announced DESP II award; an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a ceiling of $1.9 billion to provide design, engineering and technical support services to the Air Forces Air Logistics Centers (ALC) through 2012. A systems integrator with a 50-year history of successful support to the DoD, DRC has provided direct support to ALCs since 1991.
