ANDOVER, Mass., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO) today announced that it was awarded a $6.4 million task order as a subcontractor to Chickasaw Nation Industries (CNI) Aviation, LLC under the Tinker Advisory and Assistance Services Contract (TAASC). Under the terms of the contract, awarded through the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base, DRC will provide the U.S. Air Force with advisory and assistance support services for the B-52 Aircraft Sustainment Group (ACSG), including development, production, testing and sustainment of systems, subsystems and support systems requirements. The task order is for a six-month basic performance period with four option years. "As a long-standing provider of engineering and sustainment services to the Air Force on the B-52, DRC is well-positioned to advise and assist the Air Logistics Center alongside CNI Aviation," said Robert L. Smith, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Acquisition Management and Engineering Group, DRC. "Our dedication to improving the infrastructure and support systems of the longest serving combat aircraft in the Air Force inventory underscores our commitment to making the B-52 the most reliable of aviation systems." DRC will provide engineering, technical, professional and developmental support to the Air Force's Air Logistics Center to make complete assessments for the B-52 ACSG and the Air Force infrastructure. The company will develop recommendations on avionics, weapons integration, communication and other test and evaluation processes; which contribute to the Air Force's efforts as it conducts milestone planning and establishes its goals for development. This is DRC's first subcontract under TAASC, which is an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a ceiling of $350 million providing technical and management expertise to support Tinker Air Force Base through 2012. As a subcontractor to one of five small businesses awarded this contract, DRC provides an incumbent staff with highly responsive management expertise and a record of exceptional past performance with the Air Force.
