-Fifteen-Year Training and Simulation Legacy Results in Prime Contract Award- ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO), a leading provider of innovative management consulting, engineering, and information technology services to federal and state governments, today announced that it was awarded a prime contract under the U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Omnibus Contract, known as STOC II. The contract is for one base period and three option periods. Under the terms of the contract, DRC will develop and support simulation and training systems to train U.S. soldiers with critical warfighting skills. With a total ceiling value of $17.5 billion over a 10-year period STOC II is the largest Department of Defense multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for training and simulation. Under STOC II the Army will procure a broad range of modeling, simulation, and instrumentation solutions. "DRC has a substantive 15-year presence with the Simulation, Training and Instrumentation acquisition center located in Orlando, Florida," said Jim Regan, DRC's chairman and chief executive officer.
