Dynamics Research Corporation Awarded $5 Million Department of Defense Training Contract ANDOVER, Mass., March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation today announced that it has been awarded a five year, $5 million contract by the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (ADUSD) to support the updating of training system acquisition specifications and guidance to reflect emerging Department of Defense (DoD) system acquisition reform and training transformation initiatives. Work under the contract, which is expected to generate revenues of approximately $750 thousand in the first year, began on February 9, 2004. Current DoD training specification documents and guidance do not address the integration of training across training systems or the integration of human performance requirements into the system acquisition process. In support of the ADUSD, DRC will modify the acquisition processes to include training and human-centric requirements as a key performance parameter. DRC will develop and update training specification documents to reflect best business practices, new technology and standard industry terminology related to fielding effective human performance-oriented training. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, awarded by the Naval Air Systems Command Orlando Training Systems Division, will entail work in Andover, MA, Orlando, FL, and Waxahachie, TX over a five year period. "Our track record in providing organizations with training support and development puts us in a leadership role to implement the Department of Defense's Strategic Plan for Training Transformation," said William Hoover, DRC President and chief operating officer. "The Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense is a newcustomer for DRC and we are excited about the opportunity to work on this long term contract."
