Dynamics Research Corporation Receives Notice of Award For $30 Million Contract From State of Ohio New Statewide Information System Will Help Protect Children and Support Child Welfare Workers ANDOVER, Mass., May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation today announced it was awarded a contract by the State of Ohio to develop and implement a web-based statewide-automated child welfare information system. Work is scheduled to begin in mid to late-May when the State and DRC teams assemble in Columbus for the kick-off. The fixed price contract from the Ohio Department of Administrative Services, on behalf of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, will have a three and a half-year base period, plus a one-year option with an expected value of approximately $30 million over the life of the contract. The company expects revenues in excess of $5 million under the contract in 2004. The new statewide system will provide a centralized database for use by state and county officials to track children in their care. With real time access to critical information, county children service agencies can make informed decisions that will help protect children and provide needed services to their families. The Ohio system will utilize a 3-tier, web-based, model driven architecture that uses the Java 2 Enterprise Editor (J2EE) architectural specification. This represents the state-of-the-art in case management solutions and can be easily extended to support a given state's juvenile justice system.
