Navy and Air Force to Utilize DRC's Proven Business Intelligence
Solutions to Maximize Aircraft Readiness ANDOVER, Mass., Oct. 25
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dynamics Research Corporation
(NASDAQ:DRCO) announced today that it has won two contracts to
provide leading-edge decision support systems to the United States
military. The contract for the Navy's Naval Air Depot (NADEP) in
Jacksonville, Florida, is worth approximately $1 million and the
second contract, for the Air Force's 96th Air Base Wing in Eglin,
Florida, is worth $1.4 million. The two systems will be used to
assist management decision-making processes for aircraft overhaul
and airbase support activities. Under the contracts, DRC will be
building and expanding web-based software applications that will
allow the Navy and Air Force to schedule high-level aircraft
processes, such as aircraft overhauls. The resulting web-based
decision support systems will allow management to more effectively
project future aircraft overhaul and support activities. According
to the terms of the contracts, DRC will also address new process
and procedure areas within NADEP Jacksonville and Eglin Air Force
Base. These wins reinforce the competitive position of DRC in the
development of decision support systems for the U.S. armed forces.
The contracts expand the scope of the Company's previous Simulation
Modeling Analytical Support System contract with the Navy and the
Base Operating Support Assessment Model contract with the Air
Force. "We are pleased that our proven record in delivering
web-enabled business intelligence solutions for complex military
organizations has resulted in winning these two significant
contracts," said William C. Hoover, DRC president and chief
operating officer. "DRC has worked with the both the Navy and the
