                       ("Secure Design" or "the Company")

Secure Design launches Intelligent Secure Suite

New security system to protect and increase portability of data

                         Available from 7 October 2006

            - Leak-proof information solution for network systems -

Secure Design, a leading biometrics company based in Tokyo, Japan, announces the
launch of Intelligent Secure Suite ("ISS"), which was developed through its
relationship with System Intelligent Corp. (*)

The product provides a new solution to tracking data and file transfer from a
corporate computer network system. It integrates ITube(R), Secure Design's USB
memory stick with embedded fingerprint authentication hardware and software,
with data transfer control software. This enables ISS to closely monitor and
record the data transfer to and from the corporate computer system and provides
simplified data transfers.

Nowadays there are many companies which totally prohibit their employees from
carrying corporate data and files by any means including a USB flash memory
stick. The total ban of transferring corporate data and files as a company
policy may be acceptable but it is very inefficient. However, many departments
need secure means of carrying sensitive data and Secure Design is increasingly
being asked to provide secure data and file portability systems.

Satoshi Takahashi, the Chief Executive of Secure Design, commented:

"Intelligent Secure Suite is a result of our ongoing investment in research and
development in a field of fingerprint recognition, and our close relationship
with System Intelligent Corp.

The secure transfer of files and the ability to carry data securely is
increasingly important and we are confident that there will strong international
demand for this new product.

We are operating in a market that is estimated to grow to $6 billion by 2010
which will require leading edge products such as Intelligent Secure Suite and we
are confident that we have the skills and the resources to increase our share of
this growing market."

Intelligent Secure Suite uses Secure Design's ITube, where the flash memory area
is opened with fingerprint authentication, to store encrypted data and files.
The encryption is performed by ITube itself. With ISS, a user is able to carry
sensitive data and files securely and conveniently, maintaining a transfer
record in the network system.

By integrating ITube with an authorisation priority and tracking function, ISS
is an ideal file tracking system that can record the data and file transaction,
and offers convenience to users and administrators. In addition, ISS can provide
several reports on accountability for the network file transaction process. It
is also a highly scalable server system, establishing an information leak-proof
and secured network solution.

Feature of Intelligent Secure Suite

1. Various levels of setting the priority of data portability: The portability
policy setting is flexible from total prohibition to permission of
an authorized ITube. ISS can prohibit any PC in a network system from copying
any data, or select authorised ITubes.

2. Secured file protection: ITube requires the user fingerprint
verification to open the gate to the flash memory. Data and files stored in the
memory are encrypted based on its unique ID code. No one can read the content
   without your fingerprint verification.

3. Less work for the system administrator: ISS does not create a white list
which the administrator must normally maintain as the system automatically
recognises the user of the ITube and authorises the data transfer.

4. Report: ISS can output a report on the operation status to each
   department or division.

5. Security and scalability: Information security is assured by encryption
in data transmission and data storage. ISS uses distributed server systems for
   the scalability.

Background Note on Secure Design

On 14 July 2006, Secure Design was the first Japanese company to be admitted to
trading on AIM. It offers fingerprint authentication products to companies and
individuals that wish to establish high levels of security using biometrics.
Biometrics uses a physical attribute of the body, such as a fingerprint to
identify and verify the individual with the aim of making individual
authentication efficient and secure.

The Company offers a range of fingerprint authentication products and systems,
from an integrated system to a mobile device. The Company designs and outsources
the production of these products and can tailor them to individual client
specific needs and applications.

Biometric applications provide convenient and reliable security which reduces
the cost associated with the failure of conventional authentication methods. The
principal factor which distinguishes biometrics from conventional password based
authentication is the enhanced security level it provides while maintaining the
privacy of individual users.

The worldwide demand for biometrics is estimated to be increasing by
approximately 30 per cent per year with the market estimated to grow to almost
$6 billion by 2010 from $2 billion in 2006. Biometric applications and systems
are already being used for security in personal, commercial, government and
military organisations. Many governments, including the UK, have adopted or are
currently reviewing the need for biometric applications in passport and national
ID card systems. The Directors believe that as biometric applications in
national identification become commonplace the commercial applications will
proliferate. The commercial market for biometrics is expanding to financial, IT,
telecommunication and medical segments.
